TIPS FOR WASHING YOUR SWIMMING COSTUMES

It takes a lot of effort to buy a swimming costume that meets your requirements and is just the right choice for you, but it takes much less effort to take care of the swimming costume that you already have. Rinsing a swim suit right after every use is good but as rinsing is not enough you should always try to wash your swimsuit when the day session on the pool or beach is over. The more you protect your swim suit from chemicals that are found in pool water i.e. salt water ,chlorine, sunscreen lotions, oils from skin and sweat, the longer will be the life of your swimming costume. The materials that are usually used to give stretch to the costume fabric and bright colors to your costumes are usually susceptible to deteriorate if it comes into contact with salt water and chemicals found in sun screen lotions and body oils. A good quality swim suit can stay in shape for years if taken care properly. Here is a guideline to help you take good care of your swimming costumes regularly.
1) As what is good for one material can be harmful for the other, you should know the exact material your swimsuit is made of to care for it properly. The following are the most commonly used materials and its characteristics.
A) COTTONISH MATERIAL: The swimming suits that are made of cotton are not forming fitting but are stylish. Sometimes cotton is blended with polyester or spandex. These costumes are not at all sustainable when come in contact with chlorine.
NYLON: It is considered to be the cheapest fabric available in swimming costumes; they are not only lighter in weight but also fit closely to the body. As long as they are in water they are good, but too much exposure to sunlight makes them fray and fade easily.
SYNTHETIC OR POLYESTER: It resembles nylon but just in elasticity, it is not a strong type of fiber, nor is it light weight like nylon, it is better to be used in hot tubs
SPANDEX OR LYCRA: With a lot more elasticity than any other material, it is used commonly in form-fitting swim suits. Competitive swimsuits contain more spandex than ordinary swimsuits. Spandex is susceptible to, salt Alle soorten zwemshorts voor heren en dames water, chlorine and many other chemical substances.
CHLORINE RESISTANT FABRICS:LAST but not the least, in fact, the latest are the swimsuits that are widely used for competitive swimming are the ,these are made of either polyester or treated spandex its right examples are SPEEDO'S ENDURANCE, and CHOLOROBAN

2) RINSING

After every wash you should thoroughly rinse the swimsuit making sure that chemicals and harmful elements are no more present in the water in which you rinse your swimsuit.
